Climate change is contributing to ever-increasing sea levels, changing landscapes and causing sever weather events. Flash floods, erosion, watershed variability and land loss are events that are going to become increasingly common in the near future. Creek and shoreline erosion are also side effects of climate change. Such erosion leads to land degradation, rising water levels that cause potential for floods and changes in water velocity and erosion rates.

 

Base Geotechnical works with the Department of Fisheries to stay abreast of the changing shoreline and works with local knowledge to help mitigate the loss of land and changing landscape due to creek and shoreline erosion.
